Bharath K. Sheth

Dy Chairman & Managing Director, The Great Eastern Shipping Limited

Mr. Bharat Sheth joined the Company in 1981, just after obtaining his Bachelor of Science (Economics) with honours from St Andrews University, Scotland. In the initial years of his career he worked very closely with his colleagues and gained expertise in chartering and Sale & Purchase activities, the most intricate part of the shipping business.

He was inducted onto the Company's Board as an Executive Director on July 1, 1989 and became Managing Director of the Company on April 1, 1999. On August 12, 2005, he was redesignated as the Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of the Company. He is also a Director on Board of the Great Eastern London and Greatship (India) Ltd., wholly owned subsidiaries of Great Eastern Shipping, Mumbai.

V. Balakrishnan

Chief Financial Officer, Infosys

Mr. V. Balakrishnan was appointed Chief Financial Officer in April 2006. Prior to that, he served as Company Secretary and Senior Vice President Finance. Balakrishnan joined Infosys in 1991 and has served in various capacities in the Finance department.

Prior to joining Infosys, Balakrishnan was a Senior Accounts Executive with Amco Batteries Limited.

Balakrishnan holds a B.Sc. from the University of Madras. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.

Vijay Kantilal Sheth

Vice Chairman cum Managing Director, Great Offshore Limited

Mr. Vijay Kantilal Sheth, Vice Chairman cum Managing Director, Great Offshore Limited, is an MBM honours from Asian Institute of Management, Manila, specializing in Finance & Control Systems. As the CEO of the SBU-Offshore business Mr. Sheth's responsibilities include, apart from Business Development, overseeing the operations of a fleet of 41 offshore vessels. With such a diverse fleet catering to the total spectrum of the oilfield services sector, the Company has been recognized as a dependable service provider, with vessels having operated even in the challenging waters of the North Sea. Mr. Sheth has contributed to the indigenization of the Oilfield Services Sector and has provided significant insights and inputs in Government Policies for this sector.
